The "N" Word

How many people think its ok to use the word ‘nigger’, 'negro', 
 ‘nigga’ or ‘niggaz’?


I know a lot of black people use these words and I know all the "reasons" as to why it is accepted or ok to say. 

"It's not 'nigger', we say 'nigga' so it's different".

"We use it as ours now, we've changed the meaning".

"Why can't we use it? That was the past, it doesn't matter".

What do I think? I think black people need to stop using excuses and realize the seriousness of the past. Our ancestors, whether you come from America or The Caribbean or even Africa, slaved and fought for us to have the basic rights we have today. Simple things like having an education, being able to ride at the front of a bus, using a bathroom and not being called a NIGGER. The word Nigger was created by white people and created to show the depth of the hatred and disgust they felt towards blacks.

Black people struggled for the word "nigger" to no longer be used to describe them and here we are using the word used to define them as trash. What would they say or think if they were to come back now and look at how we're living? Sad to say I believe many of them are turning in their graves. Nigga, Niggaz, what ever  you call doesn't make it acceptable; a word like that should not have a new meaning or should not be embraced by us. Why not just create a new word? I think by now everyone is creative enough I mean come on look how many slang words there are. And what really gets to me is when a black person who uses the word, hears a white person use it and then flips! If you use why can't they? They created it! Don't tell me the word no longer means this or that... It means what it means and you can't change that.

Fact of the matter? Any word used to disgrace another race should not be used or embraced by anyone whether they change a letter or the meaning or what ever. Stop making excuses and realize the seriousness of the matter, to you it might just be a word, but it was and is so much more than that; it was part of a REVOLUTION. Embrace the past, and let it make you a better person.
